My days are filled with hours of freestyle quilting -- creating wonderful designs on customer's quilts! I truly love stitching!!!  I want to be at my Gammill quilting machine all day long stitching!!! Every quilt is a new adventure. It is a joy to watch the quilt tops transform into truly unique quilted quilts

I express my passion thru' my quilting, although sometimes others don't understand it..... When I am stitching and creating projects I am in control of every movement of the machine as it glides across the fabric and thru' the blocks, lattice, and borders to transform the quilt top into a beautiful quilted masterpiece. It is a feeling I cannot describe other than say I live and breathe quilting 24/7. It is all I can think about all day long.. I even dream about quilting... I have been quilting full-time since the fall 2003 and to my husband's and my family's surprise I am never bored of it. I feel very lucky to have a job that I love.

I am happily married and have two adult children.  We live in Southwestern Wisconsin on top of a hill and can see for miles and miles. My quilting studio is in the lower level of our home over looking a bird garden and memory pond, a wonderful working environment!

I have a degree in Family and Consumer Education from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Before starting my quilting business in April of 2003, I taught sewing and cooking at the Middle School level.  During the summer I taught a beginning sewing class for 3rd and 4th graders for 10 years.  I love to teach beginning sewing and quilting! Quilting and sewing is truly my passion!

I attend quilting retreats in Wisconsin and Iowa a couple weekends during the fall and winter months.  We really enjoy getting together and sewing on our quilting projects.

I also belong to the Friendship Quilter's Guild of Richland Center, Wisconsin. We share our quilting treasures and quilting ideas. So many ideas – not enough time in the day to do it all!

What am I doing or making or creating?  The Blog page gives everyone an update on "What's NEW?"   Marcia's Online Store -  New 108" extra wide fabric, new patterns and kits and new Photo Quilt Note cards..... and even a little bit about me....  My vegetable container garden and the fabric covers for my hanging tomato planter!  New Up Cycling Projects!

My family pictures

I turned 50 in November 2007 and had most of my family all together for Thanksgiving!  I am all in blue on the bottom right; with my husband next to me in the cap and my Mom is next to him in the center, all in blue too!

We took another family picture the day after the big 50th Birthday party.  It was a triple Golden Birthday, as Jewels, my daughter, turned 26 on the 26th and BJ, my son, turned 24 and the 24th!  Both were born on Thanksgiving Day just two years apart!  Jewels and her boyfriend, Radboud  live in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.  BJ lives in Prairie du chein, Wisconsin.  My Mom lives in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.  Pictured left to right: Grandma Joanne (
My MOM), Jewels and Radboud, Marcia and Mattie, Ritch and Gabby, and BJ.
